Regional Debate Competition

Ten universities argued the questions their countries are living through.

Every motion was drawn from an issue the region is facing, so the rounds carried the symposium theme into direct argument rather than abstraction. Teams prepared in Arabic and English, and the auditorium filled for each round as delegations backed their universities.

In the final, Alneelain University of Sudan took the title against Qatar University.

Short Film Competition

Ten finalists, a prize pool of EGP 225,000, and stories the region rarely sees on screen.

Submissions arrived from across the Middle East and North Africa, and ten finalists were screened for the delegates. The films carried the theme into the specific: a street, a family, a border, a memory.

Student Leaders Summit

Student leaders compared how they build clubs, run organizations and represent their peers.

The sessions put active student leaders from universities across the region in the same room, where the working models behind student life were shared openly rather than guarded: how clubs are founded, how organizations are governed, how a student body earns a voice with its administration.

What began as an exchange of models ended in agreements between universities that have continued well past the two days.

Academic Conference

The theme, examined from the evidence up.

Professors and researchers from universities across the region led panels that took the symposium theme into scholarship, moving each session from evidence to recommendation. The panels gave students a chance to question the research directly, and gave the research an audience it rarely reaches.

Arts Exhibition

What peace and unity look like when they are painted, written, played and danced.

The exhibition gathered artwork from across the region alongside the scripts and symbols that carry its languages, from Amazigh to Musnad. In the evenings the floor went to music and dance, where troupes and delegates traded the steps of their countries until the audience joined in.
