How to apply
One application. Every partner university.
Applications to Tomorrow's Leaders are made once a year through the program's regional recruitment partner, not through AUC directly. Shortlisted candidates are then considered by the partner universities.
Who can apply
- Citizens of an eligible country or territory in the Middle East and North Africa, currently living in the region
- High school seniors or recent graduates with a strong academic record
- Demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to their community
- Financial need. The program supports students who could not otherwise afford an American university education
- English proficiency sufficient for study at AUC; shortlisted candidates take standardized tests
- Applicants representing the region's cultural, religious and geographic diversity are encouraged to apply
How the process works
- Apply online through the regional application site when the cycle opens in the fall.
- Review and interviews in the winter, with program staff, embassy representatives and alumni.
- University consideration in the spring: shortlisted candidates take English and standardized tests and are forwarded to partner universities.
- Offers follow on a rolling basis, and admitted scholars attend a pre-departure orientation in the summer before arriving in Cairo.
Graduate applicants apply through the regional site and to AUC graduate admissions at the same time. Fields and intake dates are announced by the TL Office.
